Head of School's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week in Nursery, we have empowered the children to express their opinions and participate in decision-making processes within their setting.

The children were encouraged to vote for what they wanted their Home Corner, within the nursery environment, to be changed into and they voted for a Dentist.

The children requested props and resources that they would like to have within their dentist setting. This decision-making process has not only allowed the children to have a voice in the Nursery and make decisions about their learning, but it has also improved their environment, proving to the children that their voice and opinions count and should always be heard.

We are excited to announce that as an end of the academic year treat we have booked a soft play bus.  The bus will come to Oxhey Nursery on Wednesday 2nd July!  We know that for some of our children soft play centres are overwhelming and challenging places due to the size and the volume of children in them.  We will be taking out small groups across the day so they can enjoy the experience with the staff and their friends in the room.  If your child does not usually attend on that day contact us about arranging a slot for them to enjoy this treat!

We hope that all of our children starting Reception in September enjoyed the writing packs which were sent out a few weeks ago. Please remember to complete the Survey for Hertfordshire council, your feedback and voice really does matter! https://surveys.hertfordshire.gov.uk/s/228VW5/

Success Story of the Week!

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to announce that after 18 months of studying, exams, assessments, meetings, essays, and longitudinal studies, which were used as an example of excellence for her course, Klara Horvath from Willow Room has successfully passed her Level 3 Childcare Qualification in Early Years.

We are so proud of her dedication and proactive attitude towards this study.

Klara not only passed, but she was awarded the highest mark of a distinction. We are thrilled for her, as I'm sure you are too!
