Head of School's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are all ready for wonderful half term break with your children. I am pleased to share the outcome of our recent trial inspection at Oxhey Nursery. While we will not receive a grading this time, as we are collaborating with Ofsted to enhance their new inspection framework, the experience has been incredibly positive.

Our nursery was visited by two inspectors on Thursday, the Lead and a second Inspector, with the Lead Inspector returning on Friday, as is routine. Both inspectors shared wonderful feedback about our school. They praised our deliberate and careful choice of language throughout the classrooms, our comprehensive curriculum, and the calm, purposeful, and nurturing environment we have created.

It was also noted that our staff's knowledge of each child is excellent, and our strategies for support are well thought out and effectively delivered.

We are very pleased with how the trial inspection went and our ability to assist other maintained nurseries by providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement to the inspectors. This collaboration aims to enhance Ofsted experiences for everyone.

A huge congratulations to the entire team and everyone involved. Your hard work and dedication have truly shone through.

Success Story of the Week!

Dear Parents,

I'm delighted to share the excitement of our recent visit from the local police officers at Oxhey Nursery.

Three officers arrived on site along with two police vehicles parked at our school created a buzz among the children, and the visit turned out to be an enriching experience for everyone involved.

Our young learners were thrilled to receive a talk from the police officers, who enthusiastically explained their role and the invaluable service they provide to our community.

The children also had the wonderful opportunity to explore the police vehicles and even sit inside them. While the sirens' sounds were indeed loud, they added to the excitement, and many children spent the rest of the day joyfully taking on the roles of police officers.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the local police team for their visit and their dedicated service to our community. It was a memorable day for the children and a wonderful way to learn about community helpers.
