Head of School's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are proud of the warm, curious and nurturing place Oxhey is for our children.  And we hope that you see this every day — the way children settle with their key person, the language-rich interactions, our outdoor learning and the strong relationships between families and staff.

Those day-to-day experiences matter a great deal to other families who are choosing a nursery for their child.

You don’t need to wait until your child leaves us to tell others what Oxhey is like. Right now your honest review will help prospective parents hear directly from the people who know our nursery best. Every review is powerful: it shows the partnership between staff and families, celebrates the small moments that matter, and helps more local children benefit from our approach.

If you have a few minutes, please click the link below to leave a parent review on Google.

Personal comments — about your child’s key person, a memorable visit, our outdoor space, or how staff have supported your family — are especially helpful.

If you’d prefer to give feedback directly to us, or need a hand leaving a review, speak to your child’s key person or email the office and we’ll support you.

Thank you for being part of the Oxhey community and for helping us spread the good news about everything we do together for our children.

Success Story of the Week!

We are delighted to share some wonderful news: due to growing demand in our local community, Oxhey Nursery will be opening an additional room for two‑year‑olds.

This expansion means we can offer more families the warm, nurturing start that makes Oxhey special — familiar key persons, rich play‑based learning and our excellent outdoor space.

The new room will open in January 2027 and will welcome children into our calm, predictable routines where every minute is treated as a learning opportunity.

Please help us spread the word: if you know of any families looking for a two‑year‑old place, encourage them to book a tour so they can see our setting and meet the team.

We are proud to be able to support more local children and their families, and we can’t wait to offer them the same high‑quality care and close partnership with parents that you already experience.

Thank you for being part of the Oxhey community and for helping us grow — your recommendations make a real difference.

All absences must be reported to the school either by leaving an absence message or emailing admin@oeyc.herts.sch.uk, We politely ask that if you plan to take your child out during school time, you notify the Nursery office. For appointments, we ask where possible that these are not during the school day. If this is not avoidable, please kindly share the relevant information for this appointment in order for us to be able to authorise this. Regular attendance at Nursery is very important, as it helps children build the foundational knowledge and skills they will need as they move through school. Establishing good attendance habits now supports a smoother transition into primary school and helps ensure children develop positive routines that will benefit them throughout their educational journey. Thank you for your continued support in helping your child attend regularly and on time.
