Head of School's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
As the weather becomes warmer, we will ensure your child remains well hydrated throughout the day, with increased access to water stations both indoors and outdoors.
Children will be encouraged to seek shade if they appear hot and to take indoor rest breaks if they have been outside for a long period. They will also be encouraged to wear sun hats when playing outside.
If a child does not have a sun hat and the weather is very hot, we will either offer one of our spare hats or ask them to remain indoors. Please ensure your child’s named sun hat is in school every day, with their name clearly visible.
At Oxhey, we provide sun cream for your child unless they have a specific allergy, in which case a healthcare plan is required. Our chosen nursery sun cream is almond and nut free. The brand is Lacura (purchased from Aldi), factor 50+. Staff will apply this after lunch. PLEASE COMPLETE THE CONSENT FORM BELOW:
We ask that you apply sun cream to your child before they attend school in the morning, so a second morning application is not required. If you forget, a sun cream station will be available outside the setting for you to apply it.
Thank you for your support. We are looking forward to many sunny days ahead.

Success Story of the Week!
Dear Parents,
Over the past 18 months, our curriculum has undergone many positive changes to ensure we provide your children with the very best start to their education to ensure they are fully prepared for their next phase of learning.
The staff have worked incredibly hard to make sure your children’s learning is at the heart of every decision made in the rooms.
They have created a wide range of opportunities for children to showcase what they know, develop new skills and deepen their understanding of new concepts through play, exploration and conversation.
We are very proud of our curriculum at Oxhey. It reflects our high expectations for all children and our belief that every child is capable of success.
We will continue to review and refine what we offer so that it consistently meets the needs of all our little learners.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
