Head of School's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

World Book Day – Thank You!

How has a week flown by already! World Book Day was over one week ago, but we wanted to say a big thank you for helping to make last week’s World Book Day such a special occasion for the children.

You may not know that every room had a sneaky visit from a different Room Leader during the day. It was so much fun! The children were very surprised and excited to see a new adult come in and share a story with them, and they all joined in brilliantly. I visited every room as the 'Tiger Who Came to Tea' and shared this story with the children, roaring along the way.

Thank you also for supporting the World Book Day theme. So many of you helped your child to dress up – we had some truly wonderful costumes, and it really added to the magic of the day.

We hope you and your child enjoyed the World Book Day book they brought home. Over the next two weeks, we will be sending out our Easter book. We hope you enjoy sharing this together too, and that it makes a lovely addition to your child’s growing library of books at home.

Thank you again for your continued support in fostering a love of reading.

On Another Foot – They're Cold!

We've got no socks left in Nursery as they have all been used by our children who have no socks in their tote bags.

Please, can we ask that any socks belonging to Oxhey are returned – and if you have any spare socks at home that could be gifted, we would appreciate that please.

Success Story of the Week!

Dear Parents,

Last week we were delighted to welcome lots of family members into nursery to share their favourite stories with us.

We were especially pleased to see so many grandparents joining their grandchildren.

It was really lovely to see family members sharing their love of reading, not only with their own child but with the whole room.

If you know a family member who would like to come in and share a story, please speak to your child’s key person, who will be happy to arrange a time for them to visit nursery and read with our children
