Head of School's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Working Together to Inspire Our Children

At Oxhey Nursery School, we are always looking for ways to make children’s learning meaningful, exciting and connected to the real world around them. One of the most powerful resources we have is you – our families – and the wealth of skills, experiences and interests you bring from your everyday lives.

To help us better understand our nursery community, we have created a short online form for parents and carers. This form asks about your profession, interests and hobbies, and whether you might be happy to share any of these with the children. By learning more about you, we can:

-
Help children understand their local community and the different jobs people do.
-
Offer real-life examples that bring our topics and projects to life.
-
Show children a wide range of possibilities for their futures.

The form has been sent to you in the body of this email and will not be included within this newsletter. In that email, you will find a link to the Wufoo form, which you can complete online at a time that suits you.

We would be very grateful if as many parents and carers as possible could complete and return the form. Your involvement can be as simple as answering the questions, or, if you wish, you can indicate an interest in visiting the nursery to talk briefly about your job, demonstrate your profession, share a hobby, or support an activity.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for everything you do to help us give the children the very best start. We truly appreciate your time and partnership, and we hope to hear from many of you through the form.

Success Story of the Week!
Dear Parents,

This week at Oxhey we’ve had a truly  wonderful sight… LABELS!
We’ve noticed more children’s jumpers and clothing are now clearly labelled with their names, and we cannot tell you what a difference this makes.

As you can imagine, it’s quite a challenge for staff to work out which green jumper belongs to which child—especially when many of them are logo jumpers and look almost identical.
Seeing those name labels makes it so much easier for us to reunite children with their own belongings and keep everything where it should be.

We really value the way you support our school uniform here at Oxhey, and we are very keen to support you in getting your children’s clothes back home.
Please do keep up the brilliant effort and continue to label all items of clothing—jumpers, cardigans, coats, hats, and anything else that might be taken off during the day.

We also have a small favour to ask:
If you could have a quick look through your children’s clothes at home for any items labelled “Oxhey” (these are items we have labelled in school so we know they belong to us), we would be very grateful if they could be returned.
